FREDDIE Mercury was alive and well and performing at the Orchard Theatre, Dartford, on January 17 in One Night of Queen. The evening turned out to be Kind of Magic.
Having seen Queen at Wembley in 1986, my expectations had not been high but I can honestly say I was not disappointed.
The rapport with the audience, the audience participation and the atmosphere made for an exhilarating evening.
The light show adding to the dynamics with wondrous effect.
If Freddie was watching from up high he would have been proud. For Brian, John and Roger, the essence of Queen is still going strong and will live forever.
What a fantastic night. Well done, Gary Mullen and the Works.
