I AGREE wholeheartedly with your campaign to get the borough cleaned up.
I personally would appreciate it if you would add the state of the trees in the borough to your campaign. I have been fighting the council for the past seven years to get six trees near to my house replaced, some are either missing or dead.
It was suggested the last time I phoned the council, if I wanted the missing trees replaced, the council was willing to do this only if I paid £75 a tree. I wonder what council tax is for?
Fortunately, Jacqui Lait MP has taken my case up but I cannot help wondering how many other people within the borough are having the same problem.
Having read the comments by Councillor George Taylor, the next time you interview him, please suggest from me the next time he goes out, he should try opening his eyes.
