BRIDGE GRIPE: I recently wrote a letter to Clive Efford regarding the problem of traffic speeding over the narrow railway bridge in Green Lane, New Eltham.
The pavement on this bridge is extremely narrow and when two vehicles pass one another at speed, it is dangerous for pedestrians.
Jeff Horshaw, highways manager for the council, says there has been no personal injuries recorded at the site.
Therefore, until someone is killed or injured at the site no more will be done. Any volunteers?

RECYCLING ROT: I live in Herbert Road, Woolwich.
I have lived here for just over 30 years. A recycling scheme started in January last year and it has been nothing but a disaster.
The streets are filthy and stink and now the weather has turned colder I find I have mice in my flat.
The recycling is too much for the council. The result is vermin and maggots. Something should be done.
