Letter to the editor: The spectacular Scottish independence election has rightly rocked the otherwise detached Westminster elite.
The result has saved the United Kingdom, but may have divided the Scottish nation. However, the demand for independence now transfers to the UK.
Now it is a call for restoring UK independence from Europe.
Our population has only just woken up to the betrayal by recent governments, both Labour and Tory.
This has resulted in the Brussels bureaucrats dictating our legal and social laws, controlling our fishing and agricultural industries and causing us to lose control over our borders. And at a vast cost to the UK.
And all without the consent of the electorate.
Indeed, while our politicians were betraying UK citizens, they were also fiddling their expenses.
It is disgraceful, though Emperor Nero might have approved.
So, please Westminster, now return our independence, resign or be voted out.
