Letter to the editor: Further to your correspondent’s letter (Fine is “highway robbery”, September 3) I should like to add my own experience.
Over the past two years, I have been in frequent contact with Bromley Parking Services, a department that pursues with some vigour the motorist who inadvertently breaks the rules, yet when confronted with written and photographic evidence of major infringements takes no action.
I am talking, of private buses parked on a bend, on the pavement and on a double yellow line. That’s three offences in one go and we are talking of a period of up to one hour. Need I say that nothing appears to have been done as the situation still persists?
