Views on Thames river crossing
Letter to the editor: I would like to bring to the attention of readers the proposals to introduce a toll for travelling through the currently free Blackwall Tunnel and the proposed new river crossings at Gallions Reach, Belvedere and Silvertown.
In addition, the residents of Bexley will have to endure extra traffic and environmental pollution and become a traffic corridor for east London business lorries heading to Dover.
Readers have until September 12 to make their views known to Transport for London (and/or their MP). I urge them to do so before it is too late.
