I live around the Waltham Cross, but before I used to live in Enfield and I always thought that Waltham Cross was part of Enfield. That was before I looked at the map of the UK. Waltham Cross is actually situated on the outskirts of London, It is not within the M25 borderline to be classed as part of London. Waltham Cross is home to many people who work in both Hertfordshire and inner London.

But that got me wondering even more. If Waltham Cross if part of London. In my opinion that would make much more sense because at Waltham Cross bus station there are buses like the 217 to Turnpike Lane Station, the 279 to Manor House and the 317 to Enfield Town. All these bus routes go into London but also end at Waltham Cross. Waltham Cross is not just a main bus hub but it is also a main shopping hub.

To see if I could get an answer to this, I took to the streets of Waltham Cross to ask members of the local community.

“Yeah, I think that Waltham Cross should be a part of London so we can get more privileges like London weighting.” – A member of the public

“In my opinion, I don’t really think that Waltham Cross should be part of London, even though we have Transport for London buses and over-ground service, we are in Hertfordshire, we are different to all the boroughs of London. I don’t think it would be suitable to be part of London.” – A member of the public

I have come to the conclusion that, honestly, Waltham Cross shouldn't be part of London. We are individual, part of the Hertfordshire County and we are proud of that. Like any part of the country we have our negatives but still there are many positives. And that’s who we are.
