Letter to the editor: I’d like to thank News Shopper for your excellent coverage of the Woolwich attack.
The live blog on your website captured exactly the extent to which people were affected following the events.
As the mother of a young soldier, the Woolwich attack left me shocked and angry.
Losing a child is something which should never happen, but to lose him in such a gruesome manner is beyond imaginable.
British soldiers are simply doing their job and putting their lives in danger to ensure peace and stability, in the UK and abroad. A serious crackdown on terror suspects needs to be put in place to avoid the killing of another innocent soldier or another terrorist attack.
We need to realise these people can come from any background and any area and are obviously capable of anything.
