The afternoon is being put on by the Ballard family who live and run businesses in and around Bexley Village.

Katie and Toby Ballard, directors of The KTB Group, together with their friends and family, have raised more than £25,000 for the Evelina London Children’s Hospital since their son Benji was born with complex health needs in 2010.

The couple has previously organised several hugely successful events including a food festival, jubilee party, football tournament and casino nights and they hope this year’s family garden party and open-air concert – complete with Eynsford Concert Band - will soar their fundraising to more than £30,000.

Diagnosed on the day of his birth with a chromosomal abnormality, Benji, now seven, is a regular visitor to The Evelina for a variety of treatments. He’s had a multitude of operations, including life-saving open heart surgery.

Katie said: “The staff at the Evelina do a wonderful job and our family fundraising is a way of giving back for this.

“This year’s event is again very well-supported by our local community, our friends and family but we welcome everyone to our home to join us for a wonderful family event to help support our family’s charity.”

You won’t want to miss it! Tickets are £5 in advance or £6 on the door (under 3s free), from KTB Pilates and Physiotherapy – clinics in Dartford and Bexley.
