Students in the 6th form at Erith School are celebrating another fantastic year of A-Level and vocational results. The overall pass rate is 97% with 48% of entries at A*-B. Outstanding individual achievements include; Sophie Peel who achieved A grades in English literature, history and sociology and Gillian Glover who achieved A grades in psychology and sociology added to a B grade in maths.

A number of students achieved remarkable results in combining academic and vocational qualifications, most notably Tom Gates who achieved an A* grade in English literature, an A in film studies and a Distinction* in music performance level 3 BTEC.

Success at A-Level is matched by results in vocational subjects at level 3 with an incredible 70% of entries achieving Distinction * or Distinction. Outstanding individual performances include; Jordan Clark who achieved a double Distinction* in health & social care, a double Distinction* in hospitality alongside a Distinction* in travel and tourism and Amy Murphy who achieved Distinction* grades in business, music performance and health and social care. Several subjects enjoyed outstanding results most notably the level 3 Extended Diploma in sport where Sam Canik, Ellie Jeffkins, Shae Ludlow, Lisa Nicholson, Dave Omole, Mitchell Timmins and DJ Wallis all achieved a triple Distinction*.

A delighted Headteacher, Stephanie Allen, said, “We are incredibly proud of all of our students’ achievements at Erith School. Our core aim is to improve the life chances of students of all abilities and we feel we have achieved this. We look forward to the class of 2017 forging brilliant careers at university and in employment.”
