A Kent Swim School instructor has been nominated for an award in a national competition for organisations that provide activities for children.

Grace Begley-Hunter, who teaches in Dartford, Gravesend and Sidcup has been put forward in the Most Outstanding Activity Leader for the Under 5s.

She works for Angela’s Swim School which operates in Bexley, Bromley, Dartford, Gravesend and Medway.

The national competition, The What’s On 4 Kids Awards, is sponsored by STA Travel, Nowbaby.co.uk, Now Baby TV and NatWest Bank and there has been a record number of nominations this year.

Janice Hutton, who runs the franchise where Grace teaches, said: “Grace fully deserves this nomination for the outstanding work she does with such a young age group. We have also been nominated for two other awards which is testimony to the team work and effort put in by all our instructors who teach all ages to swim.

“Our methods are unique based, as they are on the techniques developed by our founder, former international swimmer Angela Wilson. We are very excited and hopeful that our clients and ordinary members of the public will vote for Grace and us”.

Angela Wilson, owner of Angela’s Swim Schools, said: “Janice and her team deserve these nominations which show how franchising can provide motivation for success”.
