Locksbottom Cricket Club have been awarded a Sport England grant of £40,000 to build its first-ever permanent set of cricket nets at its ground on Tugmutton Common. The nets were opened on Monday evening by Kent cricketer Alex Blake. Alex took the time to talk to many of the junior players, and even joined them for a practice once the ribbon had been cut. The club run junior and senior sides and are inviting new members from aged 11 upwards.
