Staff and residents from Parkview care home in Beexleyheath enjoyed an afternoon tea at The Willow day care centre in Milton Regis.
The visit was part of Dementia Awareness Week, and a chance for residents, family and friends to enjoy the moment with a good cup of tea or coffee and plenty of cream scones.
Joanne Thompson, activity co-ordinator, said: "We all spent plenty of time sat in the revamped gardens wearing our sun hats and enjoying the great weather.
"Jeanette Spooner, day care officer at The Willows, was the best hostess that we could have had, and we all came away with an invitation to return to their summer party event."
