In the very early hours of Tuesday 23rd May (1:30am to be exact) my friend Umit (Lives in Shortlands) and I (lives in West Wickham) will be embarking on a 24 hour adventure across 13 different European countries to try and break a world record of visiting 13 different countries in 24 hours by scheduled transport and good old fashioned running!

We begin with a 3.5km run on the dark streets of Poland close to the Czech boarder and end in France just under 24 hours later (hopefully!) with the final 2 countries being completed on foot and followed by Luxembourg TV!

After months of preparation and meetings we feel we are ready and it is now in the hands of the bus, train and plane operators to make sure our connections are on time.

We have volunteer witnesses lined up at various points along the route to verify ‘we were there’ for the Guinness World Record adjudicators and a GPS and Go Pro camera to track and record our every move! Plus we will be posting various updates on social media along the way!

We are doing this to support the amazing work of the Guy's and St Thomas Charity (and for world record glory!).

Last year they opened a new £160 million Treatment and Research Cancer Centre and already this year a new children’s long-term ventilation ward has opened which literally helps children with breathing difficulties to stay alive.
