Home Instead Senior Care which cares for older people across Bromley, Chislehurst, Orpington and surrounding areas is hosting a Caregiver Open Day on Monday 8th May 2017, from 10am – 4pm, to provide local people with an insight in to what life is like working as a carer.

Home Instead is extending an invitation to members of the local community to go along and enjoy a coffee at Provident House, Burrell Row in Beckenham. There are over 40 caregiver¬ opportunities with the award winning home care provider and at the event people will be able to talk to the team to find out more.

Karina Brown, owner of Home Instead, explained, “Many people just don’t understand what is involved in being a carer. Often they are surprised to find that it is about being a great companion, a good friend someone who makes sure their clients are living well. With our local ageing population more and more people are looking for help with simple day to day tasks as well as additional support to get out and about which is so important to combat loneliness.

She continued, “All of our fantastic caregivers, both young and old, come from a variety of different backgrounds and they all find it tremendously rewarding. If you are a caring and compassionate person and would like to find out more, then it would be an ideal step to come along and find out if you have what it takes to be a carer.”

Home Instead Senior Care specialises in providing older people with a tailor made service to suit their needs. Their services include companionship, meal preparation, light housekeeping, personal care and supporting people living with dementia; enabling them to remain living independently in their own homes.
