Maureen Ejimofor, from Stanley Road, Swanscombe ran the London Marathon for the first time in just over five hours, beating both her estimated time and target fund.
She raised over £1,700 (and still counting) for Choices, a Dartford based specialist domestic abuse charity that works across North & West Kent providing a range of community services, including specialist workers for young people. “It was one of the best days of my life. I just wanted to give something back to this wonderful charity that helped me so much when I sought refuge”, she said afterwards.
Maureen, 43, is mother of two and works for Kent Community Health NHS Trust.
