A family-focused cooking course giving parents the recipe for success for tasty and healthy mealtimes will begin in Dartford next month.

The six-week Family Kitchen programme aims to bring families together to build skills and knowledge of basic cooking and healthy choices – enabling them to recreate what they’ve learned in the classroom at their homes.

Family Kitchen will be held at the YMCA Roundhouse in Overy Street, with the first class set for Tuesday 16th May 2017.

The after-school sessions are being run by CXK, a charitable organisation that supports young people and families across the South East.

Clare Edwards, Programme Coordinator at CXK, said: “The Family Kitchen programme has been designed specifically to enable parents to gain knowledge and learn skills that will help them serve up simple, healthy and inexpensive meals at home for all their family to enjoy.”
