A local specialist recruiter has enjoyed success with its first ever Easter Egg Appeal Campaign, which collected eggs and donations for the Darent Valley Hospital. MacKenzie King, a specialist financial recruitment agency based in West Malling, asked their contacts, colleagues and local businesses if they would be kind enough to donate an extra Easter egg or small gift to their campaign, which they would in turn deliver to the children’s and elderly wards at Darent Valley Hospital.

The campaign was an overwhelming success! 130 Easter eggs were donated in Kent alone, with further donations of over 500 eggs and £150 worth of monetary donations collected at the recruitment firm’s offices in Suffolk and Essex, too.

The donations collected in Kent were then delivered to Darent Valley Hospital, specifically to the children’s and elderly wards. Many of the MacKenzie King staff have connections with the local hospital, and the recruitment company were therefore pleased to be able to give something back to them. Darent Valley Hospital told us how pleased the were that the eggs were not only being donated to the children’s wards, but also the elderly wards, as the elderly are often overlooked by such campaigns, unfortunately. MacKenzie King said that they hoped that their efforts would bring a little moment of brightness this Easter to those people on the wards.

In Suffolk, the donations went to the children’s and elderly wards of the Ipswich Hospital, and in Essex they went to Safer Places, a charity which works with those affected by domestic abuse.

MacKenzie King and Darent Valley Hospital would like to thank everyone who has been involved with making the Easter Egg campaign such a success. There were several companies who gave over sixty eggs each, and thanks go to everyone who has got involved, at all levels.
