A BMW/MINI Centre has pledged to boost the coffers of a charity which benefits disabled children.

Stephen James on Bickley Road, Bromley has chosen Freddie Farmer Foundation as its charity of the year for 2017.

Money raised from the dealership throughout the year will go to help the Freddie Farmer Foundation.

The Freddie Farmer Foundation charity provides intensive physiotherapy programmes and support services for disabled children aged 3–16 years with cerebral palsy and mobility issues, as well as providing support for their families and carers.

Karen Hosker from Stephen James said: “We want to use our time and resources to make a difference to the communities in which we work.

We’ve established five core values, one of which is Giving Back – helping to make a difference in our community.

We are committed to encouraging both staff and customers to join us in raising funds for our supported charities. “We have four BMW dealerships locally and each one selects a local cause to support. Stephen James Bromley chose to fundraise for the Freddie Farmer Foundation and we will be doing as much as we can to raise funds for the Foundation.”

Karen Smith, Charity Officer at the Freddie Farmer Foundation said she was delighted to get the support of the dealership.

She said: “Local community and business support is so important to us, without it we wouldn’t be able to continue our important work supporting disabled children.”

Since opening in 2015, the Freddie Farmer Foundation has helped 60 disabled children.
