Hayes tennis club have had there most successful winter season for many years, with 3 teams, the Men's Vets 1, the Ladies Vets 1 and the Mixed 3 teams, all having gained promotion in there respective Kent, or North Kent, leagues.

Also over the Winter, the overall facilities, which we share with Bromley Rugby Club and Hayes Cricket Club, have been developed to include brand new changing rooms, and a renovated sports hall. The new facilities will be officially opened on 8th April.

The club have also got the ground running smartly this season, with two recent initiatives. The first is a coaching programme for children, and for ladies, which begins at the end of February with four free lessons given by our club coach, Sam Jamily, from Jason's Totally Tennis. The second is in March, when the club opens its' doors of all social sessions to prospective new adult members free of charge, and without obligation to join, you may see the posters in shop windows around the village about this.

The club has six all weather courts, (top three with floodlights) all with the same type of artificial grass which provides a comfortable and consistent playing surface. There are regular ‘turn up and play’ club sessions, where the emphasis is on friendly competition, with the added enjoyment of winding down with social drinks in the clubhouse bar, which also has Sky Sports. They have internal club tournaments, that enable club members to compete against each other in events, such as our very popular American tournaments and the annual club tournament, which takes place in June/July. As mentioned above, they have Club representative matches in the Kent and North Kent leagues. They also have social events outside of tennis, which enable club members, and friends, to get together off the courts and participate in enjoyable lunchtime or evening activities.

For more information about the club, take a look at the website at  http://www.hayeskenttennis.org.uk/ or email them on enquiries@hayeskenttennis.org.uk, or come to their Open Day on Saturday 13th May.
