The team and residents at a Sanctuary Care home in Erith will be raising a cuppa and baking sweet treats for Dementia UK, a charity which is close to their hearts.
For this years’ Time for a Cuppa, the team and residents at Shaftesbury Court Residential Care Home in Selkirk Drive are inviting local people to their tea party celebration in aid of Dementia UK on Monday 6 March, between 2pm and 4pm.
Visitors are invited to pop along and enjoy a hot drink and a variety of sweet treats and dainty cakes in return for a donation to Dementia UK, where the team will be dressed head to toe in the charity’s branding colours (pink and blue).
The Sanctuary Care home’s deputy manager Blessing Adamu said: “Every year we support Dementia UK’s Time for a Cuppa as it’s a cause so close to all our hearts here at Shaftesbury Court.
“We are pulling out all the stops to put on a lovely celebration for everyone to enjoy, so please come along and support us in our fundraising efforts.”
Time for a Cuppa is Dementia UK’s annual fundraising event; a national day which brings people together over a cuppa to raise money for the charity, which the charity will use to fund Admiral Nurses, specialist dementia nurses who provide care, advice and support to families living with dementia.
If you would like to attend the event the address is Shaftesbury Court Residential Care Home, Selkirk Drive, Erith, Kent DA8 3QP.
