Last Saturday, December 17, a cast of 40 adults and children took the Nativity onto the streets of Sidcup.

Members of Christ Church, Sidcup, were joined by friends from Sidcup Baptist Church and other local churches for the fully costumed musical presentation. Directed by experienced director Andrea Wigley, the production gathered a crowd as it moved from Sidcup Registry Office, via Morrisons and the Portrait on Main Road. The final scene at Bethlehem’s stable was enacted at Christ Church with a song from the Christ Church Children’s Choir. Refreshments, including mince pies and rolls generously donated by Morrisons, were served at the church.

Vicar of Christ Church, Revd Tom Parsons, said, “This was the first time we’ve done anything like this. It was a brilliant opportunity to draw the community together and communicate the message of Jesus”.
