Bexley Conservative Ladies held their Christmas lunch in the Applegarth Suite at the Marriott Hotel in Bexleyheath on Thursday 15 December.
75 members and guests attended the event and enjoyed a roast dinner, Christmas pudding, and tea/coffee, with the afternoon concluding with a fundraising raffle.
Ladies President, Edna Clewes, was in the Chair and gave a vote of thanks to the three local Conservative Associations. The guest of honour was Rt Hon David Evennett, MP for Bexleyheath and Crayford. He delivered a short speech about the events in politics over the past year, and spoke about the Government’s agenda for the coming year, including triggering Article 50 and to get the best deal for Britain as the country leaves the EU.
