A REMARKABLE hand-knitted aquarium is floating into Bluewater next month.
Everything you expect to find beneath the waves, such as jellyfish, seaweed and sharks, has been carefully knitted using wool and will feature inside the giant nine by six metre aquarium.
Titled ‘Above and Below the Waves,’ there is even a woollen seaside featuring a Punch and Judy show and donkey rides on the beach.
Project mastermind Alison Murray said: “I’m really excited to bring the display to Bluewater, especially as it’s the first time that we’ve been to Kent.
“We’ve had such a fantastic response from everyone who has seen the project so far and we hope it will continue to encourage and inspire people to take up knitting.”
The aquarium is a part of the Creative Stitches and Hobbycrafts show, being held at Bluewater events venue ‘Glow,’ between February 2 and 5.
Tickets for the show cost between £5 and £6 if booked in advance at ichf.co.uk.
