A PANTOMIME horse race through the streets of Greenwich raised a whopping £2,300 for children’s hospice charity Demelza.
This year’s event, the second in what has become an annual race, saw 10 Greenwich pubs represented by people donning costumes and galloping not-so-gracefully through the town.
The amount raised more than doubled 2010’s total of £1,000 that went to Great Ormond Street Hospital.
Organisers of the event have also revealed they are planning a special Olympic equestrian event version at the Old Royal Naval College later this year.
