THE Mayor of Gravesham features in a pop video which is being shown across the world on Asian music TV stations.
Councillor Tanmanjeet Singh Dhesi appears in his robes chairing a council meeting and other specially shot scenes during the video which is produced by Punjabi singer, Pammi Bai.
The song, Punjabian Di Balle Balle, is about people who are originally from the Indian state of Punjab who have been elected to high office.
Cllr Dhesi said: “I am delighted Gravesham has been included and it’s very good promotion for the borough.
"The video is proving very popular with young people especially in India.”
The shots of the mayor outside the Civic Centre and in the council chamber were taken specially for the video by the council’s communications department.
There is also brief footage of an actual council meeting last year.
