RESIDENTS and commuters are being consulted on proposals to extend a bus route.
Bus operator London Buses is proposing to extend route R7 to serve residents in the 300 homes on the Aquila housing estate off Thornet Wood Road, Bickley.
The route currently runs from the Walnuts shopping centre in Orpington to Bickley Station via Petts Wood.
It would continue from Bickley Station to the Aquila housing development via Hawthorne Road and Golf Road.
The service would still run once an hour between 6am and 10pm Monday to Saturday.
Head of stakeholder engagement Peter Bradley said: "London's bus network is constantly under review to ensure we continue to meet the needs of passengers.
"We are very keen to hear passengers' views on our proposals for route R7."
Information on the consultation, which closes on October 31, can be found at tfl.gov.uk/buses or by calling 0845 300 7000
