ENGINEERING works will affect people using public transport across the region this weekend. Make your journey easier with our handy guide.

Trains

• Works will take place on the railway lines between New Cross Gate and Sydenham on Saturday and Sunday (September 13 and 14).

This will affect passengers travelling between Charing Cross and Sutton and Horsham including the stations New Cross Gate, Brockley, Honor Oak Park, Forest Hill, Sydenham, Penge West and Anerley.

Southeastern services from London Bridge to Tunbridge Wells will start and end at East Croydon.

Southern trains towards London will be diverted between Norwood Junction and London on Saturday but services from London will run as normal.

Passengers are advised to travel to Norwood Junction for stations between New Cross Gate and Anerley.

On Sunday buses will replace Southern trains between London Bridge and West Croydon.

• Engineering work between London Victoria and Shortlands via Catford will take place on Sunday.

This means there will be no train services at Beckenham Hill, Bellingham, Catford, Crofton Park, Denmark Hill, Nunhead, Peckham Rye or Ravensbourne.

Three replacement bus services will run as follows: a)Herne Hill to Beckenham Junction calling at Denmark Hill, Peckham Rye, Crofton Park, Catford, Bellingham and Beckenham Hill.

b)A shuttle service between Beckenham Junction and Ravensbourne.

c)Denmark Hill to Nunhead calling at Peckham Rye.

• There will be no trains calling at Gravesend, Greenhithe, Higham, Northfleet, Stone Crossing, Strood or Swanscombe.

Two replacement bus services will run as follows: a)Dartford to Rochester calling at Stone Crossing, Greenhithe, Swanscombe (at The George & Dragon), Northfleet (at The Coopers Arms), Gravesend and Strood.

b)A bus shuttle service between Gravesend and Higham.

• The 24 minutes past the hour train from London Victoria which calls at stations including Bromley South, St Mary Cray, Swanley, Farningham Road, Longfield, Meopham and Sole Street leaves six minutes earlier on Sunday.

Tubes

• Jubilee line services will not be running between North Greenwich and Stratford this weekend because of engineering works.

A replacement bus service will run in both directions and journeys may increase by 25 minutes.

Docklands Light Railway

• DLR trains will be operating between Lewisham and Mudchute, Bank to Stratford and from Bank to Beckton.

But a replacement bus will be running between Westferry and Island Gardens.
