LEWISHAM is returning to normal after an earlier security alert saw police cordon off part of the town centre.

This morning’s incident was believed to have been caused by a suspect car under the railway bridge near Lewisham Road.

There were no trains running through the station while the incident was ongoing but services are now running normally.
