A DRIVER had to be cut of their car this morning after a crash on a roundabout near Gravesend which involved eight people.

The man was said to be suffering from whiplash after the accident and there were fears he may also have suffered spinal injuries so he was lifted out of his vehicle after firefighters cut the roof off.

He was taken to hospital along with another person, who went for a precautionary check up.

The six other people in the collision in Wrotham Road at the roundabout for the A2 did not need hospital treatment.

Firefighters were at the scene for around an hour dealing with the two car incident after being called there at 1.45am.
