A CYCLIST had to be airlifted to hospital after being hit by a car in Mottingham.

Emergency services were called to the scene in Ravensworth Road after the 10-year-old boy was in collision with a Renault Megane.

His condition was initially thought to be life threatening after the incident at around 5pm last Thursday (April 5).

He is now awake and his condition is said to be stable at Royal London Hospital, Whitechapel.

There have been no arrests.
