Southeastern services between London Bridge and Charlton via Lewisham are likely to be disrupted all day again after a derailed freight train yesterday (June 3).
As reported yesterday, three wagons on an empty freight train derailed as it made its way from sidings at Angerstein Wharf onto the railway from Greenwich to Charlton.
Today, Southeastern says trains are still unable to run between Lewisham and Charlton .
Trains between London Charing Cross and Gillingham that normally run via the Woolwich line will be diverted via Sidcup and not call at stations between Lewisham and Dartford.
However, trains are able to run between London Cannon Street or London Bridge and Charlton via Greenwich.
Southeastern says journey times may be extended by up to 20 minutes, and disruption is expected to last “at least the end of service today”.
