Southeastern is giving train passengers the opportunity to ‘meet the manager’ over the coming weeks.

It comes as the rail operator makes changes to its services from early next year, brought about by the government-funded Thameslink Programme.

Southeastern has often come under fire for disruption to busy routes through south east London.

With more expected as a result of the work at London Bridge, affecting travel for hundreds of thousands of commuters, the company is sending senior managers to "key locations" around the network.

The public will be able to learn more about the impact the £6.5 Thameslink project will have on journeys over the next three years.

Customer relations manager Alison Nolan said: "There will be major changes to our timetable from January 11 as a result of the Thameslink Programme work at London Bridge, so these special meet the manager sessions are an opportunity to talk face-to-face with our passengers about the impact this will have on their journeys.

"This is just the first stage of our plans to communicate service changes to our passengers over the next few months and we’re also sharing information on our website, Twitter feed and through posters at stations around the network."
