A 26-YEAR-OLD man has been bailed by police following allegations of sexual misconduct with a sheep in Chislehurst.

The man was arrested yesterday (July 17) at his home in Dulwich, where police also found a quantity of drugs and cash.

He was also arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply drugs.

Police raided the man's home after his DNA was matched with a pair of grey jogging pants found at Tong's Farm in Botany Bay Lane, following reports of a man having sex with a sheep on June 9.

In a separate incident on May 16, a stable girl reported seeing a man acting suspiciously around the sheep.

When she challenged him he said he was looking for his wallet.

The man has been bailed to return to Bromley police on September 2, pending further investigation.

Under the terms of his bail conditions the man may not enter the London borough of Bromley or enter any farmyard area within the Metropolitan Police district.

Police would like to hear from any farmers in the area who have had similar problems.

Anyone with information should call 01689 811212 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
