A THIRD man has been charged with the murder of Ted Shaxted in Northfleet last year.
Kelvin Horlock, aged 29, from Strood, appeared at Dartford Magistrates' Court yesterday (July 3) accused of killing 36-year-old Mr Shaxted.
Horlock was remanded in custody and will appear at Maidstone Crown Court next Friday (July 11).
Mr Shaxted died in hospital on December 16 after being attacked in his home in Wallis Park, Northfleet, two weeks earlier.
Trevor Lees, aged 35, of London Road, Northfleet, appeared at Maidstone Crown Court on June 2 and pleaded not guilty to murdering Mr Shaxted.
His trial, which is expected to last three weeks, is set to begin on January 5 next year.

Bill Saunders, aged 27, of Shamrock Road, Gravesend, is also charged with murdering Mr Shaxted. He is next due to appear at Maidstone Crown Court on Monday (July 7).
