A SOLDIER hopes to win up to £50,000 in compensation after a tribunal ruled he suffered racist bullying.
Private Kerry Hylton, 33, from Woolwich, claimed he was repeatedly racially abused.
The chef in the Welsh Guards, nicknamed "Paris Hilton", was attacked by a racist lance corporal, the tribunal heard.
His wife and children were also left in fear after locks at their married quarters were repeatedly superglued shut.
The tribunal found Lance Corporal Danny Spurway would deliberately humiliate Pte Hylton in front of colleagues.
Such casual racism appeared to be tolerated and there were a string of failings by the Royal Military Police, the tribunal concluded.
The Central London Employment Tribunal ruling was published last week, saying Mr Hylton had suffered racial discrimination and harassment at the hands of the Ministry of Defence.
Compensation is due to be decided by the tribunal at a later date.
