FINALISTS have been announced for this year's Miss Universe UK.
Twenty-five-year-old Zerthun Feltamo from Deptford and Kertreena Williams, 23, from Catford have made it to the finals along with more than 40 women from around the UK.
The competition will take place at Café de Paris in central London on May 4 in aid of the Joshua Foundation, which provides holidays and experiences for terminal cancer suffering children and their families.
Contestants beat off competition from more than 500 other hopefuls to be selected by organiser Vibe Models to be in the final.
The winner will receive a three week trip to Vietnam to take part in Miss Universe 2008, a holiday to Mexico and trips to Australia, Lapland and Mongolia as an ambassador for The Joshua Foundation.
Vibe Models spokesman Paula Abbandonato said: "This is without doubt the opportunity of a lifetime for someone. We want proud, confident, bright and ambitious women who are up for a roller coaster of experiences and a year like no other."
