A COUPLE have decided they will carry on running their animal rescue centre after theives broke in causing havoc.

Raymond, 48, and Michele Wall, 43, initially thought they would not be able to face running the Fairy Blight centre at Waldens Farms, Crockenhill Road, Crockenhill, after the burglary on January 19.

During the incident two ferrets were trodden to death and another 12 were stolen while their six-year-old great dane, Phoebe, had been attacked.

Five men seen leaving the centre at around 3pm took a £500 electric generator, four animal cages and some tools.

Despite the set back, the couple have decided they will continue what they started five years ago.

Mr Wall said: "We've been amazed at all the kind wishes and words of support we've had. A group of school children came up one day and gave us an envelope of money they had raised to help us."
