A 17-YEAR-OLD boy is critically ill in hospital after being attacked in Bromley.

Police want to hear from anyone who saw the boy being chased by six people from East Street in Bromley.

They left him with serious head injuries after catching up with him in Station Road.

He went to the Princess Royal University Hospital, Farnborough, and was transferred to another south London hospital yesterday for surgery.

Detective Inspector Alex Phipp says the incident happened between 9.30pm and 10.30pm on December 5.

She said: "We are looking for anyone who was in the area, a busy part of Bromley containing a train station and many bus stops.

"There is also a main road cutting through between both locations (Kentish Way).

"The victim and his friend are both 17-year-old white boys; the suspect was a group of about six, consisting of white, black and mixed race youths."
