The Blackwall Tunnel was closed in both directions this morning as police investigated a suspect car parked just outside it.
The tunnel was closed at 9.50am after a red Rover was found at the southbound entrance of the tunnel.
Explosives officers were called to the scene and checked the vehicle before declaring it safe.
The tunnel was reopened at 10.14am and traffic is back on the move.
