RESIDENTS are being urged to come forward with information following a series of robberies along a Lewisham riverbank.
Lewisham police's robbery squad say the suspect has targeted lone women on seven occasions over the past seven weeks along the banks of the Ravensbourne River.
Detectives are appealing to the public to report any suspicious events in around the area from Ladywell Road to Bell Green.
The suspect is described as a black man, of a slim build, aged between 18 and 22 and is between 5ft 8in and 5ft 11in tall.
He has been seen wearing a grey top with multi-coloured dots on one occasion and a grey/ blue striped hooded top on another.
In two of the incidents he made off towards Ladywell Fields and Albacore Crescent, leading officers to suspect he may live in the area.
