POLICE are appealing for witnesses to what is believed to be a gang-related fight.

Officers were alerted to an incident involving a number of youths in Charlton Road, Charlton, at 4pm yesterday.

Numerous weapons including cricket bats, golf clubs and knives, were recovered by police from the scene.

There were 18 men, believed to be in their late teens and early 20s, arrested.

They have been taken to various South London police stations.

Three people were taken to hospital suffering from head injuries and stab wounds.

One victim has now been discharged and the other two remain in a serious but stable condition in hospital.
