POLICE have issued CCTV images of a man they want to speak to in relation to two robberies committed on commuter trains within an hour of each other.

One commuter was robbed of two mobile phones and a laptop computer on a train travelling between Crystal Palace and Tulse Hill.

British Transport Police investigating officer Detective Constable Sam Pyper said: "The victim put up a struggle, but was overpowered.

"Luckily, he wasn't seriously injured in the attack, but it was no doubt a traumatic incident for him.

"This was a busy time of day and we believe there would have been other commuters on the train who witnessed these robberies.

"Today we are releasing images of a man captured on CCTV around the time of both robberies."

The mobile phone robbery took place at 5.20pm on February 13.

It followed an earlier incident which saw a 15-year-old boy grabbed and threatened until he handed over a handful of coins.

This robbery took place on a train travelling between Selhurst and Clapham Junction at 4.30pm.

Anyone who recognises the man pictured should call the Witness Appeal Line on 020 7391 5275, quoting background log B6 of 29/05/07.
