A LIBERAL Democrat councillor who was expelled from the party is believed to have been arrested on suspicion of perverting the course of justice and perjury.

News Shopper previously reported Cllr Sera Kentman, who is alleged to have used different names, was the subject of a police investigation.

Today police have confirmed that on Wednesday a 49-year-old woman called Sera Hulya Kibris was arrested at her home in Nutfield Road, Redhill, Surrey.

She was taken to Lewisham Police Station where she was bailed to return to a south London police station on May 31.
