SEVERAL roads have shared the crown of the most disliked route across News Shopper's regions.

News Shopper asked people to vote for their most hated road across south east London and north Kent.

Last week it emerged the A12 from London to Great Yarmouth, Norfolk, was voted the worst road in Britain following a nationwide survey of 4,000 drivers by insurance company Cornhill Direct.

Our online poll showed the M25, A2 and Blackwall Tunnel topped the list of most hated routes across the region News Shopper covers.

Okehampton Crescent, Welling, and Thames Road, Crayford, also earned around the same about of votes from readers.

The Blackwall Tunnel was deemed "truly miserable" whenever traffic diverts there following a problem on the Dartford Crossing, says one reader.

Another reader blamed the Dartford Crossing toll booths for causing delays on the M25 and A2.

Both these roads also earned their own votes, with the M25 crowned "London's largest car park" by a voter.

An online post from Stationary, London, said: "Virtually anytime of the day or night, the road is absolutely packed with traffic.

"Nine times out of 10, you are lucky if the traffic is even moving."

Readers also complained about traffic calming measures on Okehampton Crescent and said Thames Road was a "nightmare".

A total of 42 people commented after we launched our search.

Many of the other roads nominated were in Bexley, with votes for Rowley Avenue, Sidcup, Manor Road, Erith and Bellegrove Road, Welling.

Other comments mentioned Crayford as a whole, roadworks on Sevenoaks Way, Orpington, and all the roads around Tudor Way, Petts Wood, as annoyances while driving.
