ENGLAND Under 21 international Anton Ferdinand has denied charges of assault and violent disorder in connection with a fight outside a nightclub.
The West Ham player, of Grove Park Road, Mottingham, pleaded not guilty to inflicting actual bodily harm on Emile Walker.
He also denied a further count of violent disorder today at Snaresbrook Crown Court.
Ferdinand spoke only to confirm his name and deny the charges.
The 22-year-old, whose brother is Manchester United star Rio Ferdinand, was arrested following a brawl outside Faces nightclub in Ilford, Essex, last October.
His friend, 28-year-old Edward Dawkins, of Henry Adlington Close, Beckton, has denied the same charges.
The pair have been granted unconditional bail ahead of a trial in November.
Their trial is expected to last up to five days.
The defender, who made his debut against Preston North End in August 2003, missed the decisive penalty kick in the shoot out against Liverpool in last season's FA Cup Final.
