A MAN has been arrested on suspicion of shop lifting after a passing police air patrol and dog unit found him in Bexleyheath.
At 11am today police were called to a shop in Bexleyheath after a man was seen shop lifting on CCTV.
The suspect fled the store and police gave chase on foot but he went to ground in the area of Russell Close in Bexleyheath.
A Met air support unit and dog unit were in the area on routine patrol and offered to assist local officers.
A 22-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of shop lifting and is in police custody.
