A NEW play area will be built in Eltham costing £23,000.
Work started on November 14 to create the children’s area, picnic space and landscaping at Well Hall Pleasaunce.
It will include a climbable tree seat, a cradle swing, a balance trail and hang out space for families and children.
The scheme was launched after a poll by community group the Friends of Well Hall Pleasaunce showed 85 per cent of park users wanted more play equipment.
Secretary John Webb said: “We anticipate that the new play area will mean more people will come and enjoy the site for all its beauty and history.”
Funding has come from the Veolia Environmental Trust and Lottery scheme Awards for All.
