Funeral for murdered actor

THE funeral of murdered teenager Rob Knox will take place next week.

A service for family and close friends will be held at Eltham Crematorium in Crown Woods Way, Eltham, on June 25 at 1.30pm.

His parents Sally and Colin Knox said one of Mr Knox's wishes was that guests would come wearing bright colours instead of the traditional black.

It will be followed by a memorial service in St John the Evangelist Church, Church Road, Sidcup, at 3pm.

A memorial fund has been set up for people who want to make a donation instead of sending flowers.

The account is held at the Sidcup High Street branch of Barclays. Cheques should be made payable to Rob Knox Memorial Fund.

Flowers should be sent by 8.30am on June 25 to W Uden & Sons Ltd, 64 High Street, Sidcup, DA14 6DS.

Actor Mr Knox, 18, was stabbed in an incident outside the Metro Bar, Station Road, Sidcup, on May 23.

• Karl Bishop, aged 21, of Beaver Lodge, Carlton Road, Sidcup, will appear at the Old Bailey in September charged with murder and wounding five other people with intent.
