A BOOK of condolence for Rob Knox, the 18-year-old actor stabbed to death outside the Metro Bar in Sidcup, has been opened at Sidcup library.

The book was the idea of Scott Swan, aged 17, one of Mr Knox's close friends.

Scott, an apprentice electrician from Sidcup, was distraught at the news of Mr Knox's death, said his mother Shirley.

She added: "He just needed to do something."

Anyone wishing to send messages of condolence to his family can ask one of the librarians at the library in Hadlow Road to sign the book, which will be given to the Knox family.

Mr Knox, of Maidstone Road, Sidcup, had just finished filming a part in the next Harry Potter film when he was caught up in the incident on May 23.

Karl Bishop, aged 21, of Beaver Lodge, Carlton Road, Sidcup, will appear at the Old Bailey in September charged with murdering Mr Knox and wounding five other people with intent.
